Woodthorpe Hall on the outskirts of Sheffield is an absolutely stunning venue for a wedding and despite a rainy start to the day it did not dampen the excitement of Beth and her eight bridesmaids, we piled into a minibus to the venue where Beth and Clare entertained us with their singing!
Meanwhile Paul was with the men who were preparing and very relaxed – they had time for plenty of cups of tea before they left.
Woodthorpe Hall looked amazing, the wisteria over the cider press where the marriage took place was in full bloom and surrounded by lovely calla lilies and gerberas in black and white to go with the Bond theme. Bill looked just like Bond in a suit with a white bow tie. The ceremony was very emotional with personal readings from friends and family.
Afterwards we went for a walk in the grounds, a lovely backdrop for the photos, Beth’s veil blowing in the breeze looked amazing. Guests were entertained with casino games before the meal. The party then moved into the amazing marquee decorated with sparkly disco balls, Bond themed table names and crystal decorations. Woodthorpe Hall’s homemade cider was served as a welcome toast for the speeches which were hilarious, Beth’s sister Clare and friend Jess were a great double act and followed by the best man who had us all in stitches.
The band “Freeway” kicked off the first dance with “You are so beautiful”, the guests then danced the night away. As we left through the lit up lanterns in the trees surrounding the tent we both felt very lucky to have shared an amazing day with such a lovely couple.
Congratulations Beth and Bill, we wish you many years of happiness and cider!
