We had been looking forward to Chris and Christina’s wedding for a while, hearing all their plans at their engagement shoot made us really excited.
I met Christina and her excited bridesmaids early on Saturday morning, Christina’s gorgeous David Fielden dress bought from Choola was out of this world and was set off by her Benjamin Adams shoes, Charlotte Balbier hair flower and her present from Chris, a charm bracelet from Green and Benz. The bridesmaids wore their own combinations of pink and black dresses which went well with the stunning bouquets with colourful roses, peonies and poppy seed heads. The colourful theme ran throughout the wedding inspired by a Danish design which Christina loved.
The couple journeyed to the church and reception in style arriving in a vintage German Mercedes, Beetle and Porsche. The ceremony was beautiful with lots of personal touches including a slideshow, personal prayers from their family and even a floral archway for their grand exit from church.
It was then a lovely journey through the Peak District to Shatton village near Bamford, Townfield Barn was a spectacular location for the reception with fairy lights and bales of hay. The marquee was filled with gorgeous colourful floral displays and pots of herbs, tables were decorated with jars of sweets and tiny cakes with an image of the happy couple on taken on their engagement shoot, very impressive!
The couple’s family had been a godsend to them making the cakes, buying accessories and helping to decorate the venue. The speeches reflected this and the couple even received presents from all the guests for each week in their first year of marriage! The BBQ went down a storm and guests were then entertained with intriguing German drinking games, badminton, and a magician before the evening guests arrived for the hog roast.
Chris and Christina are a truly amazing couple, so kind and caring, we wish you all the luck for the future and hope you enjoy your honeymoon in the USA.
