Today marked our first wedding in the spectacular Chatsworth House. I met Sam and her bridesmaids getting ready at her house, Sam looked stunning – her makeup was done by the amazing Emm from Greenfield & Beck. Every bridesmaid was quizzed on their proper princess credentials by Sam & Dan’s cute daughter Ellie – there was much confusion when Sam’s dad claimed he could twirl like a princess too!
Sam’s gown from Justin Alexander was gorgeous, princess shoes donned it was time to climb into the cars and head for Totley All Saints Church. Dan and his groomsmen were fitting in a quick game of pool in the local before the ceremony.
The ceremony was lovely with personal readings and a rendition of Ava Maria. The sun shone as they exited the church and after getting covered in confetti it was off to Chatsworth.
Nothing quite prepares you for how amazing Chatsworth is and the staff there even drove us around the grounds in a golf buggy to get some photos which was hilarious as all the visitors waved at Sam and Dan as they were driven around.
We made our way back to the rose gardens for some family photos before it was time to head back for more champagne. The Carriage House restaurant was transformed into the reception rooms with martini glasses filled with lilies and gerberas. The guests tucked into some Chatsworth made Bakewell puddings – tempting!
Speeches were great and included some handouts of Dan dressed in a pink skirt!
We left the happy couple and Ellie dancing the night away.
We wish you both every happiness for the future, have a fantastic time on honeymoon!
