Our first wedding of 2011 was with Nicole and Joe at the stunning Ringwood Hall in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Despite the blustery conditions I met a happy crowd of excited family and friends in one of the hotel’s apartments where everyone was getting ready. A calming face massage was needed as well as plenty of chocolates!
Nicole and her bridesmaids were wrapped up in their wedding day dressing gowns and donned their Uggs for a quick drive up to the hotel to make their final preparations. Meanwhile Joe and the boys were getting ready at their house nearby. The men had plenty of time for some band hero antics and it gave them a chance to show off their stripy wedding day socks too! Joe was surprised by his transport to the venue. A 4×4 Porsche turned up for Joe and his future father in law to drive to Ringwood Hall, very exciting!
Nicole had put so much thought into all the wedding day details with a gorgeous bouquet from the very talented Anna at Swallows and Damsons, just stunning with deep red anemones and roses. Her shoes were from Next and had lovely lace details, her dress was beautiful with lace and beads on the bodice which complemented her tiara, every inch the princess!
There were tears of joy for the newly marrieds after the ceremony, we braved the winds outdoors for some photos in the grounds of the hotel, where the sun made a brief appearance for the couple. The reception room was dressed with lovely red details, centrepieces and even a Mr and Mrs Cox sign for the top table. Speeches were heartfelt and the best man made everyone laugh with his jokes. It was lovely to see such a close family and a couple so happy together.
We left the bridal party dancing and laughing the night away.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Cox! x
