Cannon Hall Museum in Barnsley is an amazing location for a wedding, the grounds are huge with walled gardens and lots of lovely flowers. Louise & Andrew live nearby and often like to walk around the grounds.
I met Louise and her family in nearby Penistone where the smell of hairspray was thick in the air! Louise’s hair and makeup was lovely and all done by Polly Jensen. Her gown was amazing with gorgeous lace details from Pronuptia at Blissful Daze and took everyone’s breath away – to avoid tears we had to pretend we were pretty non-plussed about it all!
Her bridesmaids were all very excited and each had a different style dress but in the same light pink colours – they all looked amazing. The flowers were provided by Swallows and Damsons and had just the perfect rustic vintage feel that complemented the dress beautifully. Fighting back the tears we all boarded a vintage bus to Cannon Hall.
Andrew was waiting nervously at the Hall. The ceremony was great with readings done by the younger bridesmaids and pageboy. A string quartet played during the ceremony.
It was then out into the sunshine as newlyweds for champagne and photos in the stunning grounds (avoiding the bees and spectators!)
The guest all climbed onto the bus for the short journey to the White Heart in Penistone for the reception. The tables were decorated by Louise with vintage crockery and rustic flower arrangements. In the corner sat a huge cake made by their family. The evening party kicked off with bacon butties and a spectacular firework display – brill!
The happy couple are off to Venice any day now – we hope you both have a fantastic time and a happy life together!
