Part 2 of Laura & Simon’s wedding celebrations saw their amazing personal humanist ceremony at Smallshaw Farm Cottages. Laura looked amazing in her beautiful lace gown from Emily Bridalwear with her stunning sunflower bouquet and her very helpful bridesmaids. A quick sandwich later and it was off to Smallshaw for Laura, ably chauffeured by her brother Howard, we arrived just as the Titanic theme was playing on the stereo – excellent!
The marquees in the fields were decorated with lovely rustic details, sunflowers, hearts and all the guests received their own programme for the day. The ceremony was beautiful with readings, promises and some excellent singing, Paul definitely enjoyed singing “You’ll never walk alone”! Outside the ceremony guests could play cricket, croquet or boules while relaxing, we had great fun taking photos with the bridal party, the jumping got slightly out of hand! Afterwards guests took their seats for the meal and were entertained with stories of Simon’s haircuts and DJ rants before the evening reception began.
The evening guests were greeted with lawn races including egg and spoon and sack racing. Such a great idea and absolutely hilarious, full marks to Laura for competing in her dress! It was then time for cake and plenty of dancing.
We had such a great time at your wedding day, thanks for making us feel so welcome. It was such a fun, relaxed and happy day, we want to wish you both much love and happiness for the future. Good luck with your new life in Manchester and have a fabulous honeymoon!
