Barlow is a lovely sleepy village in Derbyshire and home to Katie’s family. Their wedding day had a lovely English country garden feel to it.
Katie’s dress was a stunning designer gown from Browns bride which sparkled in the light, she accessorised it with a cathedral length veil and sparkly comb – I heard Oli catch his breath when he saw her drift down the aisle -aww!
Katie’s gang of bridesmaids were all in white with pretty flowers in their hair – gorgeous, especially little Megan the flower girl who was finally persuaded to wear her headdress!
The church was just a quick stroll from Katie’s parents house and was packed with family and friends.
After they were announced husband and wife we avoided the heavy bursts of rain for some photos and headed up the road to the marquee. Inside the tables were dressed with little jam jars of flowers and each guest had a hand painted pebble – very cute.
Speeches were lovely and funny in equal parts, it was just time for a quick spruce up before the evening party got started on the dancefloor with a sparkly ceiling overhead. We left the bridesmaids circling the happy couple on the dancefloor.
Congratulations to you both – what a fantastic day, your happiness shone through the rain bursts!
