I met an excited Katie and her bridesmaids on a slightly chilly Saturday in March for her wedding to John in Blidworth, Nottinghamshire. Katie was a picture of calm and had everything well organised, especially all the sweets!
Her dad was in tears when he saw how beautiful she looked in her Veromia gown studded with crystals. Her bouquet of white parrot tulips was just amazing and fitted the spring day nicely. We just had time to tape a handed down sixpence into her shoe before she was whisked off to the church in a very comfy Bentley!
John and his groomsmen had a short walk to the church from the village pub. St Mary’s Church looked amazing with daffodils surrounding the grounds. The vicar made the ceremony lovely and personal and it wasn’t long before they became Mr and Mrs Harrison with cheers from all the guests.
After a few photos outside the church we headed off to Forever Green, a lovely reception venue set in a forest on the outskirts of Mansfield. The guests had the run of the venue and the grounds so we took the happy couple off for a few photos in the forest. Inside the reception room was decorated with gorgeous tulips and lots of sweets and cupcakes! The speeches brought a tear to many eyes; especially Katie’s dad who had a stack of tissues beside him!
We left the happy couple dancing the night away before their honeymoon in the sunshine.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Harrison! xx
