We were very excited about Grace & Joe’s wedding – two ceremonies, hand fasting and live music in the summer sunshine – yes please!
Grace wore a stunning gown from Biba which suited her perfectly – she accessorised with some Irregular choice shoes and a truly amazing bouquet from Swallows and Damsons. Her bridesmaids wore pretty mismatched pastel gowns. Joe meanwhile was showing off his shoes at Woodlane Countryside Centre.
Their wedding was a real community affair with friends and family helping to make it an amazing day from a cake table filled with cakes, cupcakes and battenburg to live music from Grace’s brother and Dad.
The outdoor humanist ceremony was perfect for the couple – so personal with lots of great readings and music followed by a handfasting ceremony where the couples hands were tied with ribbons brought by guests. Guests helped themselves to Prosecco and enjoyed the grounds. Meanwhile the upstairs loft was transformed with vintage china, rustic flowers and some lovely homemade chutney favours. Guests had hampers on their tables with pies, meat and salad.
The speeches were emotional and funny and continued outside where live music played in the evening. We left the happy couple dancing to a brass band.
It was a truly personal, beautiful day in so many ways – we loved it!! We wish you both much love and happiness for the future.
