It wasn’t long after our pre-wedding shoot at Chatsworth that it was time for Gemma and Jorge’s wedding. The rain finally eased off in time for the big day. Gemma had some wellies on standby though, just in case!
I met Gemma in the morning at Ringwood Hall where she was pampered and trying to keep calm with her bridesmaid Emma. Her hair and makeup looked amazing and her dress shone in the window, a gorgeous gown from Blissful Daze. Her hair band from Glitzy Secrets looked stunning and her whole ensemble was topped off with her bouquet of gerberas and a vintage handbag and bracelet from her proud mum.
It was a short journey to St Bartholomew’s Church in Old Whittington and the sun burst out from behind the clouds as the cars pulled up. There were a few tears as she entered the church and a few more through the ceremony, family members and friends gave readings and the vicar made the ceremony very personal. Jorge held up the certificate for his excited family and friends and the happy newlyweds left the church to thunderous applause.
Ringwood Hall laid out the red carpet for a grand entrance and bucks fizz and nibbles for the guests. We sneaked Gemma and Jorge out for some photos on their own in the grounds of the Hall, the summer house and gardens are spectacular. Gemma and Jorge were happy to use a few props including our new umbrella, a valentine’s heart and even an iPhone!
Family and friends gathered on the lawn for more photos before the meal was served. The reception room looked amazing with gorgeous candelabras, twinkling crystals and floral displays. The tower of wedding cupcakes looked pretty irresistible. The speeches were both hilarious and touching with tears from the whole table and some beers for the football team’s worth of ushers.
Later on the happy couple opened up the dancefloor which was full as we left, we hope Jorge showed off his many salsa moves!
I always feel priviledged to witness such a special day in a couple’s life and it was clear to everyone how devoted they both are to each other, we wish you both lots of love as you start your next journey as a married couple!
Enjoy Seville xx
