Chris & Joy had a bit of a rocky start to their wedding day with both of them suffering from a sickness bug just before hand! Joy managed to look amazing despite feeling not too great though! Her dress was stunning and she accessorised it with some glittery shoes which she swapped for glittery converse later!
Chris and his groomsmen were preparing nearby at Kenwood Hall before heading off to Wycliffe Church for the ceremony. With lots of friends and family gathered it was an emotional ceremony with guests offering personal prayers and readings for the happy couple. On the way to the reception we stopped by at the Botanical Gardens in Sheffield for some photos before heading to the Old Rectory in Handsworth for the reception.
Guests were making the most of the sunshine playing outdoor games and getting to grips with the bouncy castle, inside the reception room was filled with all sorts of beautiful colourful decorations with origami elephants and personalised placemats. After a hearty hog roast and a variety of puddings and sweets guests prepared for the evening cehildh and the ceremonial cutting of the adorable Colin the Caterpillar cakes!
It was so lovely to be back photographing another wedding for the Baxter family having photographed Joy’s sister Hope’s wedding two years ago, such a lovely welcoming family and it was a pure joy (no pun intended!) to be around you both.
We wish you both so much love and happiness for the future – hope you enjoy your mystery honeymoon!
