Cathy & Bruce are a lovely couple who managed to plan their entire wedding in the UK whilst living in Germany – no mean feat! All their careful planning came together perfectly on their wedding day at the Park Farmhouse Hotel in Castle Donington. The hotel has huge oak beamed rooms candlelit for the ceremony. Cathy arrived in style with her dad in his vintage Morris Minor! Her bridesmaids were dressed in pink with pretty roses in their hair.
A string quartet played as Cathy entered the room on her dad’s arm and Bruce dissolved into tears – it was clear to everyone just how much in love they are. With personal readings from friends the couple got to kiss twice during the ceremony – very exciting! It was then time for Pimms and games on the lawn during a sunny spell. Bruce managed to win the hoopla competition! We had time for a few romantic photos with the happy couple in the fields surrounding the farmhouse.
The guests all lined up for a feast in the converted pigsty which Cathy had decorated with table names relating to farm animals. The speeches were lovely and Bruce’s driving skills were questioned by the best man in detail!
A sweet bar was laid on in the evening for all the guests and then the newlyweds took to the dance floor and ended their first dance with a balloon release which I can highly recommend!
A huge congratulations from us and thanks for the special mention in the speeches!
