Carla & James are such a lovely couple and with a wedding just a week before Christmas they were treated to a lovely but very cold snowy day for their wedding!
I met Carla at her parent’s house in Grendon in Northampton where the family were busily making the final touches to the wedding preparations. Carla’s mum was making sandwiches whilst Carla fed her rabbit, her Dad, meanwhile was laying out the red carpet for Carla to walk up to her white limousine!
Carla was just stunning in a spectacular Sophia Tolli gown which was accessorised with a gorgeous veil and her very own ruby slippers to go with her deep red rose bouquet. Carla’s bridesmaids looked lovely in their red gowns and fluffy wraps were definitely in order for the cold weather!
It was just a short trip to St Mary’s Church in Grendon, a family friend conducted the ceremony which was very personal with some great readings from friends and family including some amazing singing during the signing of the register. Guests left the church and escaped to the warmth of the Marriott hotel in Northampton for some warming mulled wine. We just had time for a few photos before the guests sat down for their meal. The tables were decorated with lovely red roses and candles, tables were named after the twelve days of Christmas and this led to some necessary singing of the song for each table before they earned their puddings!
The speeches were fantastic and we learnt that James wooed Carla over some very well made beans on toast! Later on the guests had some fun with casino tables before the first dance began. Carla and James then danced the night away while the snow softly fell outside.
It was a great day and so lovely to see a couple so much in love, we hope you have a fantastic honeymoon in Mexico, it will certainly be warmer than the UK!
