Amy & Michael

It was a lovely sunny autumn day in October when we arrived at Ringwood Hall in Chesterfield for Amy & Michael’s wedding. Amy and her bridesmaids had just narrowly avoided a total nail varnish dress disaster when I arrived, time for some pink champagne!

Amy’s lace dress from Blissful Daze was stunning, once she added the cathedral length veil she looked like a princess. Amy had a short veil head piece and a fur wrap to change into later all bought from Debenhams. The bridesmaids were all in navy blue and with their rose wrist corsages looked lovely, Amy’s mum’s hat was amazing with huge feathers.

Michael was waiting downstairs with his family who were entertained in the ceremony room by their friend Sarah playing the cello. The ceremony had many personal touches with lovely readings by family and friends. Once the happy couple were announced husband and wife it was time for some photos outside in the beautiful grounds of Ringwood Hall. The autumnal colours on the trees were gorgeous, we took Amy and Michael off for a short walk around the grounds for some more photos before the family dog came over to say congratulations!

The reception room was decorated with candles and place settings with the meanings of people’s names written on their place cards, a great idea. Guests enjoyed a lovely meal with some nice warming apple and blackberry pie. The speeches were fantastic with the bride giving a speech too thanking everyone for giving them the day they had always wanted. The best man thoroughly embarrassed Michael with stories of gin drinking and breaking bones on nights out in Rotherham!

Later on the couple cut their cake and took to the floor for some dancing closely followed by all their friends and family.

Amy and Michael are a lovely couple, so caring and kind. We wish you both happiness for your future together
