We are a husband and wife photography team who strongly feel that your wedding photos should reflect your wedding day. No fake smiles, no staging the cake cutting. Just real emotions, happiness and joy captured forever.
Helen is all about emotions, wedding details and love, she also has a massive bag of props which make pre-wedding shoots more fun- bubbles anyone? She spends a lot of time reading about weddings and never gets tired of hearing about your big day, be it shoes, bunting or delicious cupcakes. She also knows lots of people in the wedding industry who can help you make your dreams a reality.
In her spare time she photographs all sorts of things (mainly flowers and food) in her 365 photo a day project – see more on facebook! She is a bit of a dreamer who loves to see the beauty in anything, particularly nature and has been known on occasion to spend several hours gazing at sun filtering through trees – she loves summer! Other hobbies include running, Starbucks and dancing to xbox games (with the curtains firmly shut!)
Paul likes the abstract in photography, he utilises angles and the environment surrounding images to make our photographs stand out. He is over 6 foot which helps with getting different perspectives on your wedding day! He has also been known to climb around precarious church balconies to get a different angle.
In his spare time Paul likes to master stunts on his bike, play golf, eat extraordinary amounts of chilli related products and really appreciate music (trust me you need special amps to do this!)
As a team Paul and Helen love photographing people – we often find that certain images stand out from weddings we have done which are not the usual moments you see in magazines, these images are fully reportage, unplanned gems of amazing gold that tell the story of your wedding day from a completely different perspective. We love them so much we want to show them off so have started documenting these on our blog – see more PH moments here.
Other things we both love include our crazy cat, Jasper, the Peak District, pizza and sticky toffee pudding.
